Gages Mill derives much charm and appeal from its location and exudes an abundance of character. The atmosphere is wonderfully calm, relaxed and homely.
The mature gardens extend to an acre. There are seating areas where you can pass your spare time relaxing, chatting or simply surrendering yourself to the wildlife around you.
We have a comfortable and cosy guest television lounge which benefits from original granite walls and a wood burning stove. A granite archway leads to the dining room where there is additional seating for guests.
Gages Mill is licensed and we are able to offer a carefully chosen selection of wines and beers.
We have taken some time to build up a good library of local information. You are welcome to browse local Ordnance Survey maps, study our selection of over 30 flyers and leaflets detailing local attractions or choose a suitable afternoons walking from one of the various local guides.
We offer free WiFi with good connection (usually) in the guest lounge and usually reception in the bedrooms – but please do remember Gages Mill is a 14C building with very thick walls and that ‘superfast’, whether it be broadband or anything else, isn’t really an Ashburton thing.
Our objective is to create an atmosphere and environment which we would ourselves appreciate if we were staying for a night or more – we love it – we think you will too.
