River Dart just below Hembury Woods

This is one of our many local beauty spots, just ten minutes from Buckfastleigh, Ashburton Town centres and about 8 minutes from Gages Mill. At the top of Hembury woods there is a pre-historic mound (a walled mound fortress) which can still be seen today. The river scenes are of the Queen of the Dart about 1 Km west of the famous Buckfast Abbey. (easy walking)
